Sharefarming Services

Sharefarming Services

Our sharefarming services focus on establishing and maintaining relationships between the sharefarmer and the farm owner for productive and profitable farming systems.

We also acknowledge that from time to time these things go off track and we specialise in supporting both parties during those difficult periods.

If you are looking for a service that is not in the list below, get in touch and we can discuss options to suit your needs.

Going over your role offer or agreement

Getting the right offer across the line or reviewing an offer that may need some further negotiation is something we specialise in. We believe that getting things right from the beginning leads to the best outcomes for everyone on farm.

We believe monthly meetings are critical for good communication, especially in the first year of a contract milking or sharemilking agreement.

We provide faciliation, including taking minutes which will be provided to both parties and good-farming practice advice on how to tackle common problems that crop up. We also know everyone is busy so we are open to providing this service online or in person.

Monthly Meeting Facilitation

Farm Policies

We recommend every farm has the following policies:

  • Feed and pasture management

  • Animal health

  • Effluent and enviroment management

  • Housing inspections and management

  • Seasonal management and maintenance

  • or something else you want to form a policy on!

Recruitment

Recruitment is a bespoke process depending on the level of input you need from us.

For a full recruitment process, we will do everything from advising on the right sharefarmer/employee for your situation to the CV sifting, interviewing, reference checking and organising the completion and signing of the agreement.

We specialise in finding the right fit for you.

Onboarding or End of Term Inspection and Stock Take

Getting off on the right foot makes a huge difference later on. Remove the risk of the “he said”/”she said” when it comes to the condition of the cows, the feed on hand, and the condition of the buildings and housing by having us come in and get a handle on it for you.

We will also ensure this is properly documented with a report, agreements are amended and work with you to recitify any issues we come across.

Farm Systems Consulting

All our Consultants are Best-Industry-Practice trained farm systems consultants who keep up to date with the latest farm systems research.

When two businesses are working together with different skills and experience, a farm systems consultant can help you troubleshoot and implement management plans for productive and profitable farm systems.

House Inspections

On-going inspections of both the sharefarmer and staff homes are often overlooked, leading to issues down the track. We can provide this service to match the house inspection requirements from your insurer.
