The Farm Owner Audit is designed for farm owners looking to hire a contract milker or sharemilker for the first time, or within the next 3-5 years. It’s also ideal for those planning to transition off-farm or hire a permanent consultant.

To get started, simply provide a copy of your current or proposed contract agreement, along with your past production history, inputs, expenses, herd information or requirements, and farm policies.

Cost $1,500 +GST (approx. 10 hours)

  • An economic analysis to assess the financial implications of having a contract milker and/or sharemilker on your farm, helping you make informed decisions about profitability and sustainability.

  • A detailed assessment of your current or potential employment or sharefarming agreement, ensuring all key terms and conditions are aligned with your goals.

  • A review or development of your farm policies, ensuring they are clear, effective, and aligned with your operational goals and values.

  • Strategic planning for the next 3-5 years, including identifying goals and outlining the steps needed to achieve them.

  • You will receive a detailed report outlining our findings, key recommendations, and a suggested action plan designed to help you thrive in your farm ownership journey.

  • We will spend an hour online with you to review the findings and discuss tailored recommendations based on the audit.
