Our clients, Cool Haven Ltd, are seeking applications for a contract milker for their beautiful farm for the upcoming dairy season. Having worked their way up through the industry, these clients are keen to support someone who is wanting to progress in the industry.
Happy to work with the incoming contract milker on profitable contract milking rate, these clients are focused to doing things right and creating a role that supports both parties. Progression within the business is also possible for this fantastic opportunity.
Located in Galatea, the farm is conveniently located with local schooling, and rugby club only a short drive away. The position is 250 cows milking in a 20ASHB on 92ha. The farm is a system 3, bringing in maize and silage and with centre pivot irrigation to ensure summer safety. As an additional bonus, the contract milker will have 12.5ha joined to the property to use for silage growing, wintering cows on… the opportunities are endless.
The facilities are all in good condition, with a near new 3 bedroom home available for the contract milker.
The suitable candidate will have great communication, have a minimum of 3 years Farm Management experience, are flexible, have excellent pasture management and animal health skills, and financially sound.
